Creating a 'Whale' of a time! My latest kiddo's sweater was the perfect 'canvas' for a bit of free-range embroidery. Because we live in a village by the ocean, sea-life is always inspiring! I love working in natural yarns, so of course this 100% Cotton sweater was made with @Vinnis.. a proudly South African brand of yarn, made in Cape Town! The soft-blue embroidered whale contrasts with the Camel and Denim Blue beautifully. #rosfromscratch #yarnart

EVERY ITEM from #Rosfromscratch is lovingly handcrafted . Some take many, many hours, while others use eye-boggling amounts of soft and mostly natural yarn. Colourways, patterns and stitches are carefully selected and unique to each labour of love. There is creative input and quality control by every member of the family! This Cabled Crochet Blanket used 20x balls of 50g cotton/bamboo, all hand-dyed and spun in South Africa. ... A labour of Love with voluptious, heavy drape, this turquoise, grey and ivory heritage piece is warm for Baby, knees or just as a stunning throw!
