Welcome to Starling & Crow. Established in 2021 with a stall at the Greyton Saturday Market, selling hand made beaded and gemstone jewelery along with handmade dream catchers, incense box holders and suncatchers. I eventually added the timeless and healing craft of crochet in 2023 and I have never looked back, steadily growing and stretching my wings... Starling & Crow is still very much a side hustle so work and crafting are juggled to the best of my ability. I also continue to trade at the Greyton Saturday Market every week. Come say hi if you're visiting the village! Did you know crochet CANNOT be manufactured... every crochet piece you see in your lifetime is handmade.

Meet the maker
I crochet, bead, pour and paint in my studio in a quaint little cottage on a fruit farm, nestled at the foot of a glorious mountain range and just a 15 minute drive from a wonderfully arty and animal-loving little village, called Greyton in the Overberg region of the Western Cape. All my pieces are vegan and cruelty free. Yarns are either plant based (cotton and bamboo) or made in gorgeous recyclable acrylics. My yarn is sourced from 2 wonderful women who are also small business owners, Rene in Greyton and Debora in Caledon. I choose colours and patterns that inspire and excite me. I want to enjoy each piece that I make, so I craft in small batches and styles are limited. My brand is earthy and perhaps a little witchy... Starling & Crow: Crafted from the heart and inspired by connection.
