Meet the maker
Afrobeads Art & Design was born from a love of creating beautiful things by hand. What began as a passion for crochet and handmade fashion accessories gradually evolved into something much bigger — a creative journey that led me to discover the extraordinary possibilities of beads. I began experimenting with seed beads, pearls and other decorative beads, not simply to make accessories, but to transform them into art. I became fascinated by the way thousands of tiny individual beads could come together to create something bold, detailed and completely unique. Today, Afrobeads Art & Design creates handcrafted pieces for the home, fashion and gifting, including intricate beaded wall art, statement mirrors, bespoke décor and crochet creations. My work is inspired by African beauty, femininity, nature, culture and the individuality of the people who commission my pieces. I love taking an idea, a photograph or a client's vision and turning it into something tangible that can become part of their story. Every piece is handmade, one bead at a time. There is no mass production and no two creations are ever exactly the same. The time, patience and attention to detail that goes into each piece is what makes it special. As Afrobeads grows, my vision is to continue pushing the boundaries of traditional beadwork — creating sophisticated, contemporary pieces that can sit beautifully in modern homes while still carrying the soul of African-inspired craftsmanship.
