Our story
Meet the maker
My hand-built work draws on Japanese ceramic traditions and the philosophy of wabi-sabi, with a focus on imperfection, simplicity, and process. Korean moon jars are an ongoing reference, especially in their soft forms and subtle asymmetry. I mainly use coiling, pinching, and slab-building techniques, letting forms and textures develop through making rather than tight control. The coastal landscape around me influences both colour and surface, with weathered textures and muted tones reflecting the environment.
